Open for artists

I wanted to share information about a collaborative art exhibition the Embassy is supporting for the start of Ireland’s EU Presidency in July in case it may be of interest to your network.
The Embassy is working with the Sligo-based Hamilton Gallery and the Pulchri Studio in The Hague on a collaborative art exhibition inspired by Moya Cannon’s poem “Carrying the Songs” to coincide with the start of Ireland’s EU Presidency in July. The poem is a prescient meditation on how music and song can be one of very few things people bring with them when forced from their homes, or to leave their native country.
The exhibition is open to submissions from artists based in the Netherlands as well as the island of Ireland free of charge, providing a positive opportunity for artistic collaboration and exchange between our two countries.
The call to artists with general guidelines is available to view at https://carryingthesongs.artcall.org/. Please feel free to share with any artists in the Netherlands that may be interested in participating.
Kind regards,
Aisling
