Great enthusiasm for Huntenkunst 2018
At the time of the deadline in November, over 600 artists had registered for participation in Huntenkunst 2018, showing a visible increase in interest from all over the world. Having carefully considered each submission, the Selection Committee has had the pleasure of inviting 220 artists to exhibit their work at the arts manifestation in Ulft.
"Animo for Huntenkunst increases annually", notes Harrie Schenning, founder of the art fair and chairman of the Selection Committee. "This year's applications contained submissions from another 120 artists."
Among the 600 or more submissions received this year, 60% came from artists from over 30 different countries outside the Netherlands. An increase can be seen especially in applications from Eastern Europe, as well as from countries not previously represented at Huntenkunst, such as Argentina and Brazil.
From the overwhelming number of applications submitted for Huntenkunst 2018, the Committee has selected 220 artists to take part in the event. The list of selected participants has been published on this website by mid December.
